Hi! I'm Joe and I love games that are weird. I'm a programmer and designer who has finally started finishing solo projects of mine and releasing them instead of sitting on a ton of half-finished games. I adore games that break conventions and do things I've never seen another game do before.
I've been working professionally in game development for 6 years now in both educational and entertainment games industries. I've worked with car companies on collision avoidance software, the Department of Education on teaching children good fiscal responsibility, and on combatting neurocognitive deficits in children suffering from malaria and HIV in Malawi and Uganda. For entertainment games I've worked on Plunder Panic which you can play on literally all modern devices (other than smart fridges), and on Blastball: All-Stars which comes out later this year. Both are multiplayer party games (Plunder online and local, Blastball just local) and are a lot of fun!
When I'm not making games with other people, I'm making games that match random hills I will die on. My hatred of incremental games giving up and using letters instead of actually counting. Breaking the boundaries of a game by having it fail to load. My ongoing war with the ICRC (I can explain I swear)(Link soon). Asking why all our games stop counting at '9' before giving up and adding another digit. And more that I have in the works.
Also if you're hiring or looking for a contractor I'm between contracts right now. Here you can admire stuff I've worked on.
